Information about our accessibility work

At Scandinavian Mountains Airport, our goal is for everyone to be able to access our services and information in a simple and independent way. An important part of this is ensuring that our website is accessible to people with various types of disabilities.

Therefore, we have begun working to improve the digital accessibility of our website. We are doing this both to create a more inclusive experience for all our users and to meet the new legal requirements of the EU’s Web Accessibility Directive, which comes into effect on June 28, 2025.


What does digital accessibility mean?

Digital accessibility is about designing and developing websites so that they can be used by as many people as possible. This can, for example, mean that:

  • Content can be read aloud by screen readers for people with visual impairments.

  • The website can be navigated using only a keyboard.

  • Texts and buttons have sufficient contrast to be easy to see.

  • Videos are captioned for people with hearing impairments.

  • The language is clear and easy to understand.


Our goal and our plan

Our goal is for scandinavianmountains.se to meet the requirements set out in the WCAG 2.1 standard at the AA level. This is an ongoing process that involves reviewing everything from technical code and design to how we write and publish content.

We are actively working to identify and address shortcomings and expect to implement these improvements step by step during 2025 and 2026.
